Paper Waste :
The history of paper recycling is over 300 years old, dating back to 1690, when cotton and linen rags were used as the raw material for manufacturing paper. Economic and technological growth coupled with sparse supplies of source material brought about the introduction of paper produced from fiber. OCC is an excellent source of fiber for recycling.
Old Corrugated Cartons (OCC) – is the single biggest source of waste paper collected for recycling. They can be compressed and baled for cost effective transport to anywhere in need of fiber for papermaking. Thus they help developing countries without sustainable wood resources build a paper and packaging industry locally and develop their exports to global markets.
Economic benefits of recycling:
- Recycling is a continuous process
- Creates 5 times more jobs
- Saves money by avoiding landfill disposal costs
- Keeps pricing competitive
Our contribution for Greener Globe is reflected in our reputation. We enjoy the supply of various grades of Waste Paper to paper manufacturers. Being merchants by profession, we deal in most of the grades but it’s subject to the feasibility of the trade instead of our capability to trade. As the international market is open to many supply chains and is USD denominated, grading and costing becomes an art. We at Murtuza Exports have perfected this art so that we can provide the best service to our suppliers and customers.
We purchase and supply the following grades of waste paper. • Old Corrugated Containers (OCC#11) • Double-Sorted Corrugated Containers (DSOCC#12) • Re-usable cores and pipes
